CH2M HILL Proposal Manager Careers
The challenge? Helping ensure an environmentally sustainable supply of oil and gas to meet our planet’s energy demands. Our Proposal Manager is responsible for high-quality content and appearance of proposal products and the on-time delivery of proposals supporting the Operations and Maintenance division. Each day you will function as a leader in a collaborative, cross functional team environment to build the Energy & Chemicals group and bring the resources and skills of a world leader in program management, project delivery, environmental stewardship, and health and safety to our Alaskan Energy & Chemicals clients. You should be a self motivated professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism or related field, along with eight (8) years experience managing technical proposals or client deliverables and ten (10) years experience in the oil and gas industry. You should have a desire to grow personally and professionally with each energy or chemicals project.
Our Proposal Managers
Are responsible for high-quality content and appearance of the final proposal product and the on-time delivery of the proposal
Collaborate with the capture team to gain an appropriate understanding of the strategy and to ensure the response clearly conveys the proper business perspective, key messages, value proposition, and differentiators against our competition
Develop and are held accountable for the overall proposal schedule, production schedule, outlines, compliance matrices, proposal development plan, and writing assignments
Create/Maintain proposal file organization and distribute internal and external proposal documents to team (e.g., RFP, schedule, etc.)
Maintain configuration control of all living and dead proposal files, forms, graphics, drafts, reviewers- comments, and approvals
Provide technical writing, editing, and proof-reading services
Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments
Review proposals to ensure sections comply with RFP requirements, contain win strategies, win themes, and comply with Vangent format and style criteria; provide feedback on proposal products
Produce, assemble, and ship multiple copies of responses and report on delivery of responses; responsible for production and on-time delivery
Coordinate activities involved in the development of orals presentations, discussions, and Final Proposal Revisions (FPRs)
Manage large proposals and documents; edits, writes, coordinates, and establishes and enforces compliance with requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism or related field, or Equivalent Experience
7 - 10 years experience managing technical proposals or client deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years experience in the oil and gas industry
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to apply project management techniques to control scope, cost, and schedule
Ability to collaborate and work as a team leader, with dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management
Presentation skills and the ability to communicate, influence, and gain commitment of proposal team
Creative thinking, problem solving skills, and detail-oriented
Proficient skill in Microsoft products
Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously, maintain professional attitude, and work as a team member, as well as independently
Knowledge of industry-leading proposal development concepts, practices, and procedures
