SUMMARY
Provide leadership for the "Piping" group consistent with overall company objectives of quality and productivity. Responsibilities include a close interaction between the Director of Operations, Managers of Projects, other discipline Department Leads.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP - Serve as technical leader to personnel in your area to
insure high standards of accuracy and quality. This leadership will be in all areas,
including design, and project review. Technical guidance of employee performance to
assure alignment between corporate goals and personnel goals.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT - Assess training needs and develop a training
program consistent with improving technical skills and career paths of personnel in your
group. This development should consist of hardware and software acquisitions, as well
as in-house and outside training.
PRODUCTIVITY GUIDELINES - Responsible for development and implementation of standards and procedures, consistent with upgrading quality and productivity, while managing overhead for Jedson’s best interest.
PRESENTATION/MARKETING - Take an active position in the marketing aspect of the corporation to promote the continued flow of new projects. Manager should be a visible client interface, coordinating discipline requirements to insure that the client's needs are being met. Support marketing presentations and proposal requests such as estimating man hours, employee resumes, and other activities in support of the sales and marketing efforts.
PROJECT ASSIGNMENTS - Project tracking and staffing in coordination with the Director of Operations. Manager must have a thorough knowledge of group's resources and capabilities to insure matching of project manager's and client's expectations. Must be knowledgeable in all of the schedule requirements of the various projects in house, being aware of any potential scheduling conflicts between projects as well as the individual schedule problems.
STAFFING - Responsible to properly man your group by assessment of current and projected needs. This includes providing the proper levels of proficiency, personnel performance reviews, salary reviews, hiring, and terminations, in coordination with Human Resources policies.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the Director of Operations.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Interface with project managers in satisfying the specific project group
requirements.Interface with the personnel in group to insure that the technical
communications needs of the individual are met.
