The company is a single-source supplier of products and services to the global oil, petrochemical and natural gas industry. They provide equipment to all major oil and gas companies. They desigs and builds gas compression equipment (reciprocating and screw), gas processing plants (dew point control, dehydration, amine, liquid handling) and large refrigeration systems for domestic and international markets.
The AutoCAD Designer is responsible for supporting the company’s sales effort by preparation of the design drawings required for submittal with the technical proposals. The scope of work also includes development of standard, engineering quality designs suitable for construction.
Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Understanding basics of compression, refrigeration and gas processing.
Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Cadworx software.
Preparation of sales quality Process Flow Diagrams, Process Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings for compression and process modules.
Preparation of piping and structural steel bills of materials, as required to aid estimating effort.
Preparation of plant block layouts, pipe rack designs and routing of process and utility piping.
Participation in development of company standard designs suitable for immediate execution with minimal engineering effort.
Maintaining estimating data base.
Interfacing with applications engineers, salesmen and other departments within the company.
Qualifications:
Associate degree coupled with 2 to 5 years of direct AutoCAD experience preferred
Experience with rotating machinery and fabrication of process equipment an asset.
Organized and exhibits sound attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Must be self-motivated and team oriented, capable of managing time, priorities, and operating well under pressure with little supervision.
