The Piping Design Coordinator is responsible for providing design and design coordination support to the Corporate Piping Design Services department. Their efforts will be focused on drawing coordination with third party EPC firms, drawing development related to internal project and company needs, asbuilt and maintenance of asset drawings. They will ensure the efficient design and installation of assets while complying with company specifications and the governing regulations. They will assist and coordinate with all functional groups associated within the company as it relates to the drawings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Piping Design Coordinator shall include:
Coordinate the development and maintenance of drawings associated with the installation and operation of gas and liquid pipeline systems.
Provide piping and pipeline design support associated with the preliminary development of potential projects, including creation of related drawings and documentation.
Coordinate with internal company clients on issues relating to piping design as required. Typical duties may include:
Assist in the development of scopes of work to be included in the establishment of contracts with third party engineering firms.
Assist in the review of man hour estimates and work schedules of third party engineering firms to assure efficiency in execution of projects.
Provide oversight to third party engineers in the creation of piping design related items associated with engineered projects, to assure compliance to Company specifications and governing regulations.

Alignment Sheets
Permit Drawing
Pipeline Integrity
Minimum Qualifications:
Two-year college drafting degree or technical school training or equivalent experience, with emphasis on CADD mapping and design. Ten years of drafting and design experience with CADWORX experience and knowledge and some project coordination experience. Requires strong pipeline and pipeline facility related design experience, an understanding of land surveying, knowledge in pipeline operations and experience with GIS and PODS data information. Five to eight years of CADD experience, with recent CADD experience in AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant Professional, and CADWorx P&ID. An understanding of DOT regulations 192 and 195; ANSI B31.8, ANSI B31.3 and ANSI B31.4.
