jobs.pipingdesigners.com is now open for business | ||
I'm happy to announce, for those of you that don't already know, that the jobs.pipingdesigners.com is now open for business. | ||
While we are still in the stages of early growth, the last three weeks since we started have been very encouraging - for pipingdesigners.com, and especially for pipers. At the time of writing, the board has 140 piping positions posted, representing jobs countries such as Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Singapore, UK, & USA. Hopefully we can move from strength to strength as employers see the benifits of advertising piping jobs to a piping audience. Hundreds of pipers from around the world have already registered, so what are you waiting for? In order for this to succeed, we need you to be an active user of the job site, this will encourage more and more employers to use the jobs board, meaning easy access to more and more piping jobs for you! |

If you are currently seeking work, you can sign up and create a profile, that can include a resume, for applying directly to job ads. So, what are the benefits? | ||
Online Application | You can apply to jobs online. Three file attachments can be sent with the online application. | |
Submit resume | Upon registration, you can submit a resume, and use and reuse this for job applications. | |
Resume can be made anonymous or public | You can make your personal details private (Anonymous). | |
Suspend / Activate resumes. | If you become unavailable for work, you can set your resume status to suspended. | |
Job Email Alerts | You can create alerts which are sent via email to alert you of new jobs that are posted. you can specify to have alerts to be triggered by specific keyword(s). | |
Save jobs |
Jobs are saved into a personal area, and users can apply for the jobs later. | |
Save Applications | You can Save and review your applications. | |
Tell a friend | Email Jobs to friends. | |

The Other News | ||
A word on general updates to pipingdesigners.com | ||
The Training and Tools pages have been redesigned and some articles reclassified, somewhat, to make navigation easier. |

This was undertaken as part of a more general update on the site, which will eventually see the tips section dissappear - existing articles in the tips section will find a home in either the Training or Tools area. | ||
New Section in the Tools area. | ||
Over the last 6 months or so, the tools area got a whole new section added to it - leadership & supervision tools - this section was written and submited by James O. Pennock, one of our regular contributers. | ||
It is a fantastic resource for anyone in a lead position, or for anyone with aspirations to undertake such a position. | ||
The Forum. | ||
The Forum continues to thrive, with regular questions being asked and answered. It continues to be a great sourse of information to all pipers and is a great place to bounce ideas around. |
