Steam Condensate Pipe Configuration was created by IFC_6584
On a 8" NPS 150# steam header if the 3/4" NPS condensate piping off of the drip leg runs back to a 3" NPS condensate collection header is a stream trap really required in the piping system if it ties into a condensate header? The current piping in the field only has a upstream isolation valve followed by y-strainer, downstream isolation valve and check valve and then ties back into the condensate header. Should there be a stream trap in this piping configuration?
