Oil Storage pipeline colours was created by Eugene Rafferty
Oil Storage pipeline colours. Can any one point me in the correct direction for where the pipeline colours I have seen on a numbers of large oil storage sites come from, PIP PIC, BS, ASME, an industrial standard, etc.? Some examples are as below, Ie
LSULP (Green, AutoCad No. 3),
KERO (Cyan, AutoCad No.4),
DERV (Orange, AutoCad No.30),
LSGO (Brown, AutoCad No.14),
ATK (Black, AutoCad No.7),

Thanks

Gene,
Your question is very interesting, mostly because it is so confusing. We do not know who you are in the scheme of things and you did not tell us why you are asking this question.
So, that all said I can only offer the following.
(a) - If you are a CAD jockey then you are asking what color to use in the CAD Model. You need to ask your direct supervisor that question.
(b) - If you are a Painting Contractor and you want to know what color to paint the actual pipes in the field then you need to submit a RFI (request For Information) to the Sub-Contracts Manager in charge of the field work.
(c) - If you are none of the above then please tell us what you are.

To answer the other part of your question, No there is no Industry Standard for color codes covering paint colors per commodities. There are standards for Safety and Fire Water but you are not asking for those.
