We have a case where we need to install orifice flange for liquid (water service ) in vertical line
with liquid flow vertically downwards. Is it acceptable practice? Have any one of you have done this?

It has been a very long time but I remember having:
1 - Vertical Orifice run
2 - Flow up
3 - Vapor/Gas
4 - Only with review and approval of both the Process Engineer and the Instrument Engineer
Do it once and Do it Right
