System Design iOS Application was created by Danyd19
Hi Everyone,

Couldn't find much info online or anything relevant on the App Store. I'm working in the marine industry and am currently working on 8 new build ships.

I'm wondering of anyone knows of an app like something similar to iCircuit (if anyone is familiar with that app) where you can drag and drop certain components of say a cooling water system.

- Pumps & Motors
- Valves
- Heat Exchangers
- Tanks

Any info would be great

Thanks,

Dan

Danyd19,
First for clarification: I have no experience in ship building or design so my thoughts may be tainted.

Question: Why do you want to use work done by someone else which may or may not match your Clients system requirements?
-
I would think that any pre drawn equipment and piping you might find on the internet would be no better than "Cartoons".
- The Pumps and Motors would not be the size and type required by your project
- The Heat Exchangers would not be the size and type required by your project
- The Tanks would not be the size and type required by your project
- The configuration of the piping would not be consistent with your project requirements
- The valves may not be the type required by your job specifications
- The valves would more than likely not be located where you need them to be located

Every thing I can think of about this leads me to believe that you would end up scrapping every thing and redoing it. A complete waste of time. You may not be able to edit the Cartoon once you get it.

So, Why?
