Layout STORAGE TANK was created by marck1783
Dear all, goodmoring,
we are preparing a plot plan for process unit and utility and warehouse.
One of the most bigger equipment that we have in the plat are the chemical storage.
Chemical storage are unloaded from train.
In the plant we have 2 different elevation 173 and 180.
Actually we have train elevation at 173 and process area at 180.
In accordance to your experience it is better to have the chemical storage at the same elevation of process plant or same elevation of rail for unloading.
Is only a matter to design the pumps only with 0.7 bar more due to 7 m difference ore there are some more constrain or goodengineering practice to follow. As per good engineering practice the chemical storage shall be at the same elevation of process plant or more but in anycase not less.
Could you inform me if there are some engineering basis that it is better to locate at the same elevation or less from process plant?
Thanks
Best Regards
