High point vent and Low point drain

In places where ive work, the contract is normally awarded to a "qualified" contractor ( at the grassroot level it is commonly referred to as EPC) where professionals are either certs or hold a license (like me).

Every job that we do requiring a work package subject to quality inspection - every single commodity (to the last bolt and nut) are fully spec out. It should be - this is the only way to control not only the cost, but also the duration and ensure compliance to contract agreement. Add some thing, then its at cost.

And in my part of the world - we dont grab any tom, dick and harry unless they can validate their experience or show proof of competency with a cert or a license .

As to the question of "who would know better where to apply vents and drain" - well we do but admittedly we dont know how things are done on ALL side of the world.

talking about hydrotesting, I have a few questions:

A) which of the fluid service and pipe sizes are to be hydrotested?

Which of the fluid service and pipe sizes are to be pneumatically tested?

C) Does the code indicate that all the lines which are pneumatic tested are to be hydrotested? Or are their certain services and pipe sizes for which pneumatic test is to be performed and hydrotest is not to be performed?

Could anybody please clarify these queries?
