JKC,
I have included the four definitions I found in the dictionary. I assume that you are not referring to the 1st definition but you are thinking of the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.
Crèche [kresh, kreysh; Fr. kresh] –noun, plural crèch·es
1. a small or large modeled representation or tableau of Mary, Joseph, and others around the crib of Jesus in the stable at Bethlehem, as is displayed in homes or erected for exhibition in a community at Christmas season.
2. a home for foundlings.
3. British. a day-care center; day nursery.
4. an assemblage of dependent young that are cared for communally.
Yes, there are a lot of questions from people who are obviously novice pipers. However, please let me remind you and all the other experienced pipers of one of Anton's motives for creating this web site. This is stated on the "Home" page.
"A problem shared is a problem halved, and we intend to carry that notion further, through the use of forums where pipers of all levels can ask their questions and find their answers."
To me this means that anyone who has a question about piping can ask it and can get a proper answer.

Well said JOP, lest we forget, that it wasn’t long ago (well for some of us it was) that we were all just getting our collective feet wet in this industry, with little or no formal programs offered for our field. Mainly through the mentorship of experienced designers and engineers such as JOP have we been able to carve out a niche in the workforce. Let’s show the same unselfishness and understanding our mentors have shown us to all who need help.
