1. Go to the "Training" section of this web site. Under Equipment there is an article about equipment spacing. I think it will give you some help.

2. Piping prepares this drawing in most company's because Piping is "The" group that brings everything together.

3. What data (information) is available depends on what your company wants to be available. I think the minimum would be:
- The Battery Limits of the Unit
- The Plant North & True North Arrow
- The direction of the prevailing wind
- A simplified outline of all Equipment or other items that occupies space
- The Tag Number of all Equipment or other items that occupies space
- The coordinate location of all Equipment or other items that occupies space
- The simple outline of all Structures (and Buildings)
- The identification number of all Structures (and Buildings)
- The coordinate location of one corner of all Structures (and Buildings)
- The simple outline of all Pipe Supports
- The identification number for all Pipe Supports
- The coordinate location for all Pipe Supports
- The simple outline for all Roads or other surface item that impacts the project
