Pockets in Pump Suction line was created by Arakeri
For a pump suction line from a storage tank,is it acceptable if there is a low or a high pocket in the suction line.

The ideal or perfect way to design any pump suction line is to not have any pockets or high points. If the suction source is low then step up to the pump. If the suction source is high then step down to the pump. That being said, as we all know the world is not perfect.
