Without purchasing a copy of MSS SP-83, does anyone have dimensions for 9000# socketweld unions, please.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

Try a manufacturer's website for dimensions.

Penn USA has Class 9000 dimensions.

Bob ...I thought this would be semi-easy but I'm finding it not as easy as I thought! I went thru everything I had and didn't find ANY 9000# unions (everything else, but no unions). SO I sent a Email to my favorite fitting company Bonney Forge and I got back this answer ..."MSS SP-83 does not cover 9000# unions" ...and this is from the Assistant VP Product Engineering
...SO how about some duct tape instead? *G*

I thought I was the only one who couldn't find it .....

This will now be known as "The Mythical 9000# Socketweld Union"

It may become the stuff of piping lore .........

Being a senescent (1) piper, I seem to remember that when you get to the 9000# level you do not want to use a Union. You should instead, use a pair of socket weld flanges for any break-out requirements. You should also limit the number of break-outs.

I hope this helps by offering a reasonable alternative.
