"tapped lug" vs. "double flanged" was created by newdam07
What is the difference between tapped lug and double flanged check valve? Which one uses cap screw and thru threaded bolts? Thanks!

Go here: www.raineyeng.com/pdf/valves/Duo-ChekCatalog.pdf

See page 12 for "Double Flanged Check Valves". This one you use the thru threaded bolts (Studs). To remove any of the piping downstream with this one you must shut down the whole system this part of it at some other upstream block valve.

See page 13 for Threaded Lug Check valves. (Read the fine print) you must order them with the threaded holes and these are the ones you use the Cap Screws. That is Cap Screws on both sides so the piping on the down stream side of this one can be removed and the valve will stay in place and hold pressure.
