Replied by Nipper on topic Looks like a line number
Looks like a line number to me
16 inch size
P describes the service
1412 is a unique number assigned to that line
A1A is the pipe specification
Check out the pipe spec for the project and that will tell you what schedule pipe it is

Replied by Ruairi on topic You need to go to
You need to go to one of the senior designers and ask him for a copy of the Piping Spec, follow the index to A1A and read. It should give you all the information you need. You should have been given a copy of the spec already as it is a basic requirement when working on projects.
