OK I understand you can't weld to the pipe, all I'm suggesting is to bolt on a "clamp type shoe" (it would have to be real sturdy) ...THEN weld "stops" on the bottom of the shoe to act as your anchor. ...YES this is probably not your standard procedure (normally anchors are weld to pipe) but given the present situation, with no chance to change anything, this is your only alternative as I understand your situation. It may not work, but it could! The only other alternative is to shut the whole system down and to re-build it CORRECTLY like it should have been done the first time ...as my colleague Mr. JOP pointed out.
