What is the difference b/w API 5L,/ ASME B36.10M and B36.19M
Why do we use API 5L for offshore & ASME B36.10/19 for onshore.
Please, can anyone explain this to me?

Thanks & regards in advance

1. API 5L: Seamless and Welded Line Pipe.
ASME B36.10M: Welded and Seamless Wrought Steel Pipe
ASME B36.19M: Stainless Steel Pipe
If you'll have a closer look then it is clear that their Material of Construction differs so it is easier to expect that they'll cater to different services.

2. I am not aware of their applications and specialized usage you've stated above.
