Safety Shower was created by jojeng2002
What areas in an LNG plant I can place a safety shower? Is there any exclusion zone for safety showers? If so, how many meters? What are the criterias in choosing where to place a safety shower?

Another issue regarding SS/EW stations is water temperature! In my area SS/EW stations are located outside, where temp.s can reach 115 Deg.s F ...so any water sitting in a supply line and reach very high temp.s, too high to have a face full at those temperatures! So we normally have a buried reservoir next to our SS/EW stations, out of direct sun light. Something to think about before detailing a SS/EW installation.

Safety Shower and / or Eye Wash stations should be installed adjacent to any acid, caustic or dangerous material handling equipment.

SS / EW stations should be located no more than 80ft (25M) from any likely source of exposure.

The SS / EW layout should provide a clear and unobstructed path from any likely hazard to the station.

These are just general guidelines, and more stringent project or legal requirements may take precedence over these, depending on the project location.
