I am thinking about registering for PDMS classes beginning next week. I have been out of work since 10/16/2009. I have about 30 years experience in the piping industry. The cost will run about 1500 dollars. I'm not so concerened about the cost but it seems like a lot of companies doing up stream design require PDMS. It's just that in this environment how likely would I get hired with just classroom PDMS? Would it be worth my time and $$ to do this? While working for Fluor (the company that laid me off) they trained me in PDS because it was still in the "boom" time. They were taking kids out of tech school and putting them through an intensive piping design class while getting paid.

I have PDS, PASCE (PlantView), AutoCad, MicroStation, Intergraph, and ComputerVision experience.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Dominic
