Hi,
ANSI is a governing body ANSI do not develop standards by themself, they assigned the tasks of development the standards to different groups e.g. ASME.
Initially some piping standards develop by ASME were issued by ANSI, but late on these all were issued with ASTM logo.
so ANSI and ASME standards are not different. But now it should be written as ASME standard e.g ASME B16.5 and not ANSI B16.5
