Hi Pipers
Do we need to slope Steam blow Out Pipes ?
These are the temporary lines used in the start up for the steam blowing cleaning concept for HRSG and main steam lines.
The problem in sloping these lines is the run of these lines are very long as coming from the Turbine valves and going out of the Building almost 35 meters (due to some noise norms and all) so support concept becomes difficult.
can I avoid slope in these lines?
Share your experience!
Regards
SG

Based on only the facts you have given (Steam blow Out lines; temporary; start up; cleaning for HRSG and main steam lines) I would agree that Sloping the lines is not mandatory.
