Hi Pipers
How do I install temperature and pressure instruments in GRP / FRP pipes ?
Please share your experience with theoretically and practically insight.

One way to do this is to install an GRP/FRP flanged joint and a "Bleed Ring" (with a tapped outlet) for the instrument, vent, drain, etc.

I've used FRP threaded saddles for instrument connections, check this link out ...drop down to sheet 8 for threaded saddles.

For a more corrosive service, our project opted for a complete reducing tee, nipple and flange arrangement for all instruments, as well as drains, on FRP pipe (2" min branch size). I have also used bleed rings and this method is definitely a space/ cost saver compared to the previous.
