I am looking for an old thread about fake Benkan fittings. The forum integrated search tool found nothing. Google search found a link as http://www.pipingdesigners.com/phpBB/vi ... php?t=1178 but it doesn't work. The error message is

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/pipingde/public_html/phpBB/includes/auth.php on line 326

This is not an isolated problem, while searching with Google with other keyworks like "fake" and "counterfeits", I face the same problems.

The Benex Corporation, formally Benkan, is a manufacture of butt-weld fittings in Japan.

Their product is produced under the brand name Benkan.

They have posted a warning on their website titled "Warning to the Imitation of "Benkan" Fittings".

This was an indexing problem, that stems from our software changeover earlier this year.
The changeover was necessary, due to security / spam issues.

Here is a work-around to any such problems you may encounter in the future ....

When you find a pipingdesigners.com forum listing on google or bing etc, and it doesn't appear to work, take a look at the url ...... if the url contains /phpBB/ then this is the old forum.
Simply replace /phpBB/ with /phpBB3/ in the url, and this will take you to the desired post.

example:
http://www.pipingdesigners.com/phpBB/vi ... php?t=1178 (this doesn't work)

replacing /phpBB/ with /phpBB3/
http://www.pipingdesigners.com/phpBB3/v ... php?t=1178 (this now works!)
