Hello all,
I'm new to this forum so I took the time to do a search first, but came up empty.
Does anyone have any experience with the Russian piping standards (GOST) and how they compare to the ANSI standards? Specifically regarding small bore pipe flanges, 150# - 600#. I have a job that requires GOST companion flanges with bolts and gaskets for all customer connections.

The company I work for is an OEM of steam turbines and process compressors. The piping is lube oil supply and drain and steam leakoff piping.

Thanks,
-Chuck

Thanks for the reference. That sounds like a good book in general - it got great reviews at Amazon.com. Can't hardly go wrong for twenty bucks.

To be honest, I don't have that book. A copy of its Table of Contents can be found here. http://www.pipefitter.com/IPT.html

Please don't blame me if you could not find Russian standard for flanges.

The IPT's Pipe Trades Handbook only lists some Russian Standards, but does not go into any details.

For info on GOST and ordering standard catalogues:

Anton,
Thank you for the reference. That isn't an easy site to navigate - I'll probably be making a phone call. I think perhaps my first choice will be to ask our customer to send some reference information and go from there.

Best regards,
-Chuck
