Dear all,
In my little experience, I notice that PI & TI instrument nozzles are only installed on top side of pipeline.

My question is, Can we install these nozzle horizontally? (on any side of pipeline) Incase pipeline level is higher and 'instrument valves' access is not possible from ground (if instruments installed on top side)

Regards
Rameshwar

"IF" this pipeline is being run with other lines in the same pipeway, I won't suggest mounting any instrumentation on the side of the pipe! However if it's being run singularly, then side mounting is ok as JOP has indicated.

Yes it's being run singularly, in case of multipal lines, I understood your point.

Thanks to you n JOP too.

In some cases if the pipe spec allows it you may be able to insert the TI on an elbowlet.
