I m new to this tremendous group. I have a doubt ?

In our project we are dealing with EDP(Emergency Depressurization) lines on the suction and discharge lines to
sent out the blocked volume of gas when there is a shutdow. Explain this in detail.

Why i am asking this is , a start-up pressure is req. after the EDP action,when we start the compressor again.These are the things i heard. As i m in the junior level i cant get this from my side.

Explain me about this?
