Dear All,
I am aware about the procedure of keeping Piping Master P&ID set while doing detail design but managing the inputs on this P&IDS is crucial….!
Keeping in mind the whole life cycle of detail engineering design, I would like to know…..-What is the ideal procedure to have Master P&ID?
-How we can make everybody aware & let them know the importance of the Master P&ID?
-Are we going to use some colour coding like RED for addition, Blue for deletion & others?
-How frequently we should communicate these piping mark ups to process department for approval & implementation on the latest P&IDs?
-How we can have a real control over this activity?
-Do we need a special person appointed on the project for this particular activity or there is no need of this?
-Most commonly, we will have these kind of mark ups for example: Combining utility lines, PSV outlet lines, addition or deletion of reducers….what are the mark ups other than these are most common? Please give examples?
-Can we make a ‘SET procedure’ for this activity & circulate it amongst the piping team? What can be the procedure?It would be great if the most senior & active pipers like Jop, Anton would advice on the above activity…it will be a great HELP for everybody..!
