I’m trying to determine the correct studbolt length for a 30″ MSS SP-44 900# RTJ flanged connection. Ring Joint R102.

The area which is causing me a problem is determining the distance between flanges when joint is compressed. This information is pretty easy to find for ASME B16.5 flanges but when looking for MSS SP-44 / ASME B16.47 SERIES A details of this dimension I seem to be drawing a blank.

ISO 7005-1 : 1992 (E) states PN 150 flanges with a R102 ring joint gasket have a distance of 10mm but wanted to verify this.

Any guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
