Hi all,
I have a situation where i have a 10″ Process Gas Line from / to ( bidirectional flow) Hexene Tank to Condenser. The process requirement is :
– the line should be free drain downward at both side, meaning it should have one high point and at both end of the high point it should be free drain towards the tank and the condenser.
The connection at the Tank is at the top portion which is around 20m.
The condenser is located on a structure which is erected above main sleeper way and outside of the tank bundwall ( around 70~100m) from the tank).
Now the line has to be routed for that distance with elevation around 20m for it to be connected to the condenser. Therefore some tall stanchions have to be provided to support this line.My questions are:
1. What is the best solution to this situation? ( the process requirement has been referred to Process Dept. and the insisted that the requirement to be followed)
2. What if the steel structure for the condenser is placed nearer to the tank which is inside the bundwall area with some certain distance from the tank? Please kindly assist.
Thank you.regards,
Ajak Piper
