You have the choice to draw it with or without the hatching! The person who told me I was in the wrong is from another office and is here checking for our current project.

Up till this point I have only been working on/in the Mechanical Dept so I haven’t had to search out other dept standards.
I just tracked down the CAD Standards for Piping and low & behold I was right!

I know it’s petty to say the least but when the design lead is telling me this is how he wants it shown and then the checker is telling me I’m wrong and IT’S ONLY used for a cross section of a solid shaft and NOT our company standard I had to question it.
