I am there at the moment, Project i am on is running till mid year so i am not affected yet but it is quite clear that where they were struggling a few months ago to man up, now there is a lot of designers becoming available and they can be more selective. Mining seems to be more affected more than O&G at the moment. A lot of projects are shelfed until there is a clearer picture of the way things are going.

That been said, if you are an experienced designer, securing work should be be possible. Its probably some of the less experienced guys that will find it hard.
