Jop,
I am designing a tie-in spool for anhydrous ammonia and would like to know if there is a preferred branch direction for this service. Most of the piping branches that I’ve seen for anhydrous NH3 have either been off of the side of the pipe or off of the bottom of the pipe. Is there a reason that vertical, off the top branches are not used? My design is for a new 16″ branch off of an existing 16″ line.
Thanks,
Bob
