I have the following problem.
I have a tank containing Acetone and is distributed throughout the plant by a pipeline of 150m.
There is a good amount of holdup in the pipeline as the amount of liquid I need and as entered from the control room, the same amount is not delivered at the end.
Also, the flow-meter installed at the beginning shows the correct amount but due to holdup, the same amount is not delivered at the output.
Then Nitrogen is purged through the pipeline to push the remaining liquid out. This nitrogen is wasted.
Can someone help me solve the holdup problem? Or else, how do I get the Nitrogen back to my existing Nitrogen storage?
It is a bit urgent, so please advise at the earliest.
