As piping designers, what classification do we come under?
The closest I can assume is, Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson.
Has piping engineering/designing ever been seperate from mechanical engineering with regard to the skilled list, or are we all banded together as mechanical bias?
The Mechanical engineering Draftsperson covers some of what we do, but it neglects so much of what we do as designers, I’ve not been considered a draftsman since I was an apprentice!
I ask because I am currently in the process of Visa application and need to make sure I am specifiying the correct profession/criteria for state sponsership.
