What do you think about 3 field welds on suction and discharge on every piece of rotating equipment?
The 3 field welds are intended to avoided any breaks on rotating equipment nozzle since can give to mechanical subcontractor 3 adjustment in order to erect correctly the line without any additional loads/stress on nozzle pumps.
But this choice, in your opinion, increase too much the cost or can be a solution to avoid any break on pump nozzle? Since a field weld is more costly than a weld made in the pipe fab shop (factory).
