In my current project, I am using structural shapes (as dummy, base elbow, stanchion) for supporting pipes as per pipe support standard.
But in many previous projects I have used pipe supports.
My question is what are the pros and cons of pipe and structural supports..?
Does it depends on a region where plant is being built (wind loads/earthquake prone, cyclones) or is purely a economical decision as structural supports would cost cheaper than piped one.?
