This is an email I received during the week, does anyone have any thoughts on the subject?

To whom it concerns
I’m looking at a tool that will enable the site engineers undertake basic design works with respect to line & equipment sizing.
Typical application might be to size a pump and delivery line over an approximate length of pipe / elevation change.
Came across the following whilst looking online.
Any advice to offer?
Pipe Flow Expert 2008, Version 2.03 Released

Other typical applications include calculating friction loss in a piping system as well as theoretical max flow rates.
Piping designer I spoke to said it was a question for the process engineer but I’m hopeful you might solicit a positive response given the process guys here concentrate on number crunching & complex formulae.
I’d appreciate any feedback.
