This follows Fluor pulling out of Ireland completely and Jacobs sending a recently won job for a pharma plant in Ireland to India.
The options are starting to dry up!
Where does this leave the Irish piper?
Emmigrate? To where?
Scraps of site work? Maybe …. but not enough to sustain everyone!
Change of career? Too many taxi plates in Dublin already!
Opportunities for piping work in Ireland are growing thinner by the day, but you won’t hear mention of these potential job losses on the news …. sure we’re just contract scum!!
