Flare lines in pipe rack (wet gas and dry gas flare) actually located at the top of pipe rack with too many loops and special support conditions, maybe one of the most critical piping system in pipe rack..

Sliding support should be at the downstream side to compensate thermal expansion and the force of fluid from the upstream, while fixed type should be at upstream side. Fixed type used to hold large vibration on the impact of incoming fluids on the valve. But it depends on the result of flexibility analysis.
