what do you mean by valve length?? geometrical dimension, or equivalent head losses??
Well, I agree with 11echo.
The piping designer is the one who will be pointed at in the end. They gonna say, you did not checked your foundation size and that happen. ,
they gonna say the pipng designer is responsible also for erection of stupid pumps selected by the client and will run out of thier duty point..
and you just have to agree (while making the official comments that makes you safe and give the calculations which proves your point of view).
and later make the installation and take responsibility of many things you never thought about.
can anybody have a way out of all the above situation, together with the foundation of course, by the way.. I already asked the civil engineer to start pouring the foundation from tomorrow…
Thaaaaaaanks for aaaaaaaallll
Thanks very much for your help
I am going to use your solution with some changes, first we have already the pump steel bases which is suitable for the pumps and the driver, the only problem that it comes out of the foundation, we are now thinking to put a steel bracket support to the hanged end of the base, the steel bracket shall be fixed to the plinth by anchor bolts, later we will pour concrete to the bottom of the extended part. Is this ok.
Regards
