A "Standard" will cover a specific item or part of a specific item.
Example:
- B16.10 Face-to-Face and End-to-End Dimensions for Ferrous Valves
or
- B16.28 Wrought Steel Butt welded Short Radius Elbows and Returns
A "Code" will cover the technical issues of the Design of all Piping for a type of Facility.
Example:
- B31.3 Chemical Plant and Petroleum Refinery Piping
or
- B31.4 Liquid Pipeline Transportation Systems for Hydrocarbons, Liquid Petroleum Gas, Anhydrous Ammonia, and Alcohol's

Seek and you shall find ... From the "Standards" tab (above)
pipingdesigners.com/Codes%20&%20Standards%20-%20lists.htm
Piping Codes
Piping codes defines the requirements of design, fabrication, use of materials, tests and inspection of pipes and piping systems.
A code has a limited jurisdiction defined by the code.
Piping Standards
Piping standards define application design and construction rules and requirements for piping components as flanges, elbows, tees, valves etc.
A standard has a limited scope defined by the standard.
