Please explain about hydraulic Bolt tensioning device. And need to know when it required, how much space we have to provide around the flanged joint when we using this. Anything needs to consider when we route the piping.

We've used Hydra Tight in the past - for our bolt tensioning requirements. Normally we limit its application to critical equipment like reactors and dont normally used it to tightened the piping joint under 24".

Usual tools of the trade for tightening of the pipe bolted joints like flange is the impact wrench - its fast and cost effective. If you must use a bolt tensioner, ensure that the bolt thread above the nut is of sufficient lengt and there is a space between the nuts for the tool to fit/grab.
