Training

All,
I need some advise.

I trained to draft pipework / equipment layouts electronically using AutoCad rev13 - 2D: progressed to 3D when AutoCad 2002 became available during 2002; currently modeling using AutoCad 2006, prior to this I was on the tools. I want to move on, to pastures new.
I have looked at what AVEVA and Bentley can offer.


1) Relevant to oportunities: which software package to go for? If any considering:

Since 1982 90% of the installations I have dealt with have been thermoplastic, both thermo-set and thermo-extruded. I am sixty years old and the current job climate is not good.
