Hello All
have you heard of or are you familiar with the terms "Float over structural design" , or "SACS"??
To help with context; ... "> Must be able to train inexperience engineers not only in the use of SACS but also in the application of SACS to the float over concept. <"

Thanks, any help is appreciated, even just to say you've never heard the terms used in the piping field

For float over structural design, take a look at this link:

As for SACS ...... Structural Analysis Computer System,
from their website:

SACS, Structural Analysis Computer System, is an integrated structural analysis software package used by the commercial industry world wide.

Developed by Engineering Dynamics, Inc., this is the most comprehensive design and analysis package offered to both the offshore and the general structure design industries.

Hi Anton, Thanks. Good searching on your part. I imagine there would be some specific piping requirements to that type of construction, like flexible connections, or at least field fit welds.

Thanks again
