Pipe schedule represents Wall thickness or Pressure retaining capacity. Pl. give me clear-cut understanding.
Thanks

Pipe schedule = Wall thickness. You will notice when you do a little study that the wall schedule (wall thickness) is the same for all materials. However some materials are stronger than others. So. if you want to determine the pressure containing capabilities of a pipe size/material/wall schedule the Piping Material Engineer needs to do the proper calculations for the:
- Commodity (corrosion/erosion)
- Temperature
- Pressure
- Pipe material
