Hello everybody,
I have a question for you: my task is to dimension the bolts of a flange connection.
I know the inside pressure and velocity of the fluid.
Which are the loads on the flanges?
How can I evaluate the bolt loads?
Thanks in advance

Unless there is something very special about your piping system the bolts should be per the Standard Flange Bolt Chart. This included the bolt diameter, the bolt length and the threads per inch.

All you need to know is the Flange Class, and the Flange size.
Hello everybody,I have a question for you]
Take a look at the calculation methods of (for example) British Standard BS5500, section 3 or DIN standard 2505 or EN 1591-1. Al three standards are describing a (more or less....) simple method to calculate flanges.
Bolts can be calculated using the VDI 2230 calculation method.
