What this tool does

Valve Face-to-Face looks up the length of gate, globe, swing check, wafer check and ball valves by size, class and end type.

When to use it

Use it to reserve space in layout before you have vendor drawings, and to check vendor lengths when they come in.

Inputs

  • Valve type.
  • Size and pressure class.
  • End: raised face, ring joint or welding end, where the chart prints them. Globe is raised face only.
  • Units: inches or millimetres.

How it works

The page reads the Global Supply Line 2014 type sheets. Millimetres are the figures printed on that chart. Blank cells are not filled in.

Understanding the result

The length shows as a card. Some cells carry a note where other charts print a slightly different figure.

Engineering considerations

  • Ball valves come in short and long patterns. Check which one you are buying.
  • Always replace chart lengths with certified vendor drawings before issue.

Example

8 inch class 150 raised-face gate valve: 11.5 in (292.1 mm).

Standards/references (licensed vs interim)

Licence status is interim. The numbers come from a manufacturer chart, not from licensed ASME B16.10 text. The page builds its source note from the dataset and names the standard to verify against. Always check the current edition of ASME B16.10, or the manufacturer’s certified drawing, before you use a figure on a deliverable.

Limitations/disclaimer

  • No butterfly or control valves on this page.
  • The result is preliminary and needs engineering review.
